1. Introduction

Thank you for using Finanova. This Privacy Policy explains what data is collected when you use the app, how it is used, and how it is protected.

2. Account & Identity

You do not need to create an account, enter an email address, or share any personal information to use Finanova. When the app is opened, an anonymous and unique session ID is automatically assigned via Firebase Anonymous Authentication. This ID is used solely to verify your premium subscription status. Your name, email, or any other identifying information is never collected or stored.

3. Data We Collect

• Financial data: Income, expense, budget, and savings goal entries you input into the app. This data is stored locally on your device only using Apple's UserDefaults and is never transmitted to any server or cloud system.
• AI Coach messages: Messages sent to the AI Finance Coach are processed solely to generate a response and are not stored on our servers after processing.
• Premium subscription status: Subscription information obtained through Apple StoreKit 2. Your payment details are never shared with us; all payment processing is handled entirely by Apple.
• Crash and error reports: Firebase Crashlytics is used to detect and fix app issues. These reports are anonymous and contain no personal data.
• Device security verification: Apple App Attest and Firebase App Check are used to prevent unauthorized API requests. No personal data is collected in this process.

4. Data We Do Not Collect

• Name, surname, email address, or phone number
• Location data
• Advertising identifiers (IDFA, etc.)
• Browsing history or behavioral analytics
• Bank account or credit card information

5. How We Use Data

Collected data is used only for the following purposes:

• Providing expense tracking, budget management, and financial reporting features
• Running the AI Finance Coach feature
• Verifying premium subscription status and managing usage limits
• Detecting and fixing app crashes and errors

Your data is never sold, rented, or used for advertising purposes.

6. Third-Party Services

• Firebase (Google): Used for anonymous authentication, crash reporting (Crashlytics), and API security (App Check). Your financial data is not stored in Firebase. Privacy policy →
• OpenRouter / AI Providers: Used to generate AI Finance Coach responses. Messages are not retained by OpenRouter or connected AI providers after processing.
• Cloudflare Workers: Used as an API gateway and for premium subscription verification. No personal data is processed.
• Apple App Store / StoreKit 2: Used for premium subscription purchases and management. All payment processing is handled by Apple.

7. Data Security

All communication between the app and our servers is encrypted via HTTPS. App Check and App Attest verification ensure that only legitimate app requests are accepted; bots and unauthorized requests are blocked.

8. Data Deletion

Since Finanova uses an anonymous identity, there is no traditional account deletion flow. All your financial data is stored locally on your device — deleting the app permanently removes all of it. No additional deletion request is needed as no financial data is stored in the cloud.

9. Policy Changes

This policy may be updated from time to time. Significant changes will be announced via in-app notification. The last updated date is always shown at the top of this page.
